The light novel Hime Kishi-sama no Himo ( The Kept Man of the Princess Knight ), by author Tōru Shirogane , had its anime adaptation announced this Sunday (16).

Therefore, the direction is by Kumano Chihiro (Unnamed Memory, MobuSeka) at Studio Blade. Screenplay by Deko Akao and character design by Hisao Ishii .

Synopsis Hime Kishi-sama no Himo:

Matthew is just another parasite in the chaotic dungeon-city of Gray Neighbor. Rumor has it he's lazy and weak, spending all the money he receives from his protector, the knight princess Arwin, on gambling and drinking. At least, that's what they say. But the truth is, nobody in this city knows what he's really like—a ruthless protector who operates in the shadows and will do whatever it takes for his lady's sake. A story that blends loyalty, secrets, and action, showing that appearances can be deceiving, especially in a place as dangerous and unpredictable as Gray Neighbor.

Therefore, Tōru Shirogane writes the Japanese light novel, and Saki Mashima does the illustrations. The publisher ASCII Media Works began publishing the work in February 2022, under the Dengeki Bunko imprint. Additionally, in September 2022, a manga adaptation, illustrated by Keyyang, began serialization on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website.
