The conversation was relaxed, but it brought up important reflections. Furuhashi even joked when answering: “ I think that was the hardest question of the night. I'm also eagerly waiting for a third season! But honestly, between the first and second seasons, we created 220,000 animation frames .” The number surprised the audience, and he added: “ I'd like to give the animators a break. If it were up to me, I'd say: let's wait until the next Olympics to see what happens with Solo Leveling season 3. ”
The future of Solo Leveling depends on the energy of the fans
Kaneko, in turn, responded symbolically, comparing the situation to the famous Genki Dama from Dragon Ball . “ It doesn’t just depend on me, or Furuhashi-san. You know how the Genki Dama works. We need the energy of all Solo Leveling fans around the world to decide if we’ll have a third season .” While speaking, Kaneko even raised his arms, imitating Goku’s classic gesture.
Furthermore, the producers highlighted the challenges of balancing the series' global popularity with A-1 Pictures' tight schedule. After all, as Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Purini , there is high demand for new anime, and finding the right time to start a new production requires planning.
While we wait, we can only hope that the " power of the fans " brings news soon. Want to keep up with everything about Solo Leveling ? Follow AnimeNew on WhatsApp and Instagram .
