Kenichi Yamada, a 35-year-old single businessman, has spent much of his adult life playing every MMORPG that has ever hit the market. Tired of the repetition and beginner-oriented gameplay, he becomes intrigued by the promise of a new game that, in addition to being endless, features "Inferno Mode"—a difficulty level that makes leveling up nearly impossible but offers unlimited growth potential. Choosing the newly released Summoner class, Kenichi is reborn as Allen, a baby in a family of servants, relying only on his intelligence and ancient memories to survive. Determined, Allen strives to evolve, even though Inferno Mode demands absurd amounts of experience for each level. While discovering the secrets of the Summoner class, he also dedicates himself to freeing his new family from servitude.
