Upon witnessing Meicoomon's abrupt transformation and Leomon's death before disappearing to the other side of the distortions, Taichi and the others are unable to hide their distress.
“If Meicoomon was infected, I want to know what caused it. Could there be any initial symptoms? When does the infection occur?”
While coming to terms with a situation that has gone beyond his imagination, Koushiro racks his brain trying to figure out what he can do to counteract it.
However, finding no effective methods, he presses Meiko with questions in order to obtain all the information he can.
“Please, you have to remember. We need more information in order to find out the cause of the infection.”
Meiko shakes her head, unable to answer…
Agumon and the other Digimon are kept isolated in Koushiro's office in order to prevent infection, but signs of infection begin to appear in Patamon…
At the same time, Agumon and the others discover an important secret about the digital world through Hikari's voice.
"The moment... is approaching..."
And when Meicoomon appears once more to fight them, the "moment" arrives.
Taichi and the others are agonizing over the secret that has been revealed to them.
As each of their feelings intertwine, they make a decision.
"If I wait to do something 'someday,' I'll end up a grown adult before I even meet him."
