During a panel at CinemaCon 2024, Lionsgate revealed that the live-action Naruto film is already in production.

It's worth remembering that in February of this year, Variety confirmedthat Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," will direct the film. The screenplay is by Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Origin of Blood).

First published in Japan in 1999, the "Naruto" manga quickly established itself as a global cultural phenomenon, selling over 250 million copies in more than 60 countries and territories. The anime adaptation also solidified its status as one of the most popular series worldwide.

Although a live-action adaptation doesn't yet have a release date, it's a long-held desire of Lionsgate (known for "The Hunger Games"). In 2015, the studio even hired Michael Gracey ("The Greatest Showman") to direct the project, but production ended up being postponed indefinitely.

Finally, comment if you're excited for the Naruto live-action movie.
