Today, we've brought you a short list of the worst - action anime you shouldn't watch! Or, if you're curious to know why they're so bad, watch them! In any case, attempts have been made to recreate renowned Japanese works in real life, but things almost always don't end well. So, let's check out some of the worst-selling anime:

Worst Live Action Anime – True Failures
Dragon Ball Evolution: And who doesn't remember this iconic meme that became a meme upon its release? Well, here we see how Hollywood managed to turn a true work of art into a joke. Furthermore, the characterizations were banal and dismissive, and the narrative lacked any connection compared to the original.
In fact, another area where the film falls short is the scenes that border on ridiculous. The producers clearly never watched a single episode of Dragon Ball or read a single page of the manga when writing the scripts.
Death Note (2017): Another iconic moment in cinema was definitely the 2017 film Death Note. It's amazing how the United States has this tendency to distort Japanese culture and try to adapt it to Western culture. Therefore, the film was a complete failure, as literally every character in the film was deconstructed and misrepresented.
Without a doubt, the script and narrative were also quite lackluster, which only made the final result even worse. On the other hand, the actors are also worth criticizing, as their performances were significantly below expectations.
Worst Live Action Anime – Big Disappointments
Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso: This was certainly one of the most successful anime of its time and touched everyone's hearts! However, the live-action version was highly anticipated, yet it disappointed everyone. First, it's worth mentioning that it would never have worked to compile the entire original series into just a few hours of film.
By the way, I also want to highlight the poor performance of the actress who played the female lead, as her performance was quite superficial and doesn't even compare to the emotions you feel in the original work. So, I highly recommend reading the manga or watching the anime.
Attack on Titan: And finally, let's talk about one of the most popular animes today, especially with its final season fast approaching. On the other hand, the live-action version was a real disappointment for fans, as they essentially changed everything from the original. Not to mention, the special effects are literally horrible! Honestly, trying to bring all the effects you see in an anime to life will never work.
Well, everyone, that was our special list for the day. I hope you enjoyed it and don't watch any of these shows. I wish you all a great week, and see you next time!
