The new anime is confirmed to premiere in 2026 and promises to bring one of the most intense arcs of the franchise.

"Baki-Dou" adapts the manga published in Weekly Shonen Champion between 2014 and 2018. The story begins after the final battle between Baki and his father. With the world's greatest fighters overcome by boredom, a secret plan is set in motion: to resurrect the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi .

Unleashed in the modern era, Musashi wields his swordsmanship with unprecedented speed and power. He becomes a relentless threat to Baki and the other underground warriors. Thus, the plot sets up a clash between the greatest swordsman in history and the world's strongest fighters.

The trajectory of the anime Baki

Keisuke Itagaki started the franchise in 1991 with Hanma Baki , which ran for 42 volumes. Since then, the series has spawned several sequels: Baki , Baki Hanma , and Baki-Dou , all in the same magazine. The current version of Baki-Dou, which began in 2018, was chosen for this adaptation.

Meanwhile, the anime revival began in 2018 with 26 episodes animated by Double Eagle and TMS Entertainment. In 2020 came Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga , followed by Baki Hanma , also called Son of Ogre . The second season of Baki Hanma directly followed the first, keeping the franchise's popularity alive.

Finally, now it's Musashi's turn to enter the scene and redefine the fate of the saga.
