Dagashi Kashi original work by the author “Kotoyama” is scheduled to premiere on January 7, 2016 on the TBS channel and then on other channels in Japan. In addition, the official Dagashi Kashi website was updated and released the full trailer for the anime.
The story features Kokonotsu, who refuses to inherit her family's rural candy store. One day a girl named Hotaru who is crazy about sweets appears in Kokonotsu's life.
Shigehito Takayanagi (Tokyo ESP) directs the series on Feel. Studio, with script supervision by Yasuko Kamo (Galaxy Angel A, Tokyo ESP). Kanetoshi Kamimoto (Burst Angel, Taishō Baseball Girls., Mushi-Uta) is the character designer.
