Ever since she became a demon, Nezuko Kamado has had to avoid sunlight to avoid burning to death. However, in the final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba , Nezuko managed to avoid death by overcoming her weakness to sunlight.

While Tanjiro was chasing Upper Moon 4, the sun began to rise with Nezuko exposed. Clearly, being a demon, her skin began to burn, leaving her brother desperate, unable to decide between saving her or the civilians, who were about to die.
Nezuko's immunity to the sun
Nezuko agreed to die so Tanjiro could save the other humans. However, she surprised everyone in the end by being able to walk in the sun. Thus, she became the sun's chosen demon that Muzan had been searching for for years. The series never gave an explicit explanation as to how Nezuko became immune to the sun, but it appears to be a special mutation that only she was able to acquire.
Demon Slayer Season 3 Synopsis
After defeating Upper Moon 6 in the Entertainment District, Tanjiro must travel to the Blacksmith Village to forge a new sword, as his old one has been damaged. However, along the way, he encounters new demons sent by Muzan, the main villain, with a mission to kill the blacksmiths. Without the blacksmiths, the hunters will have no swords to fight the demons. So Tanjiro and his friends must fight the demons of the Upper Moons again to stop them.
Thus, the first season of Demon Slayer premiered in April 2019 , becoming a hit with the film. The second season premiered on December 5, 2021, in Japan. Finally, the third season premiered on Crunchyroll following the release of the film To the Swordsmith Village – World Tour on February 2 in Japan.
