We've arrived in 2023, and with it comes the certainty of several new anime series premiering in Japan this year. As we know, only a few of these series have a better chance of success, either because they're well-known works or adaptations of popular games. This list will highlight just that.

The list aims to bring the CONTINUES AND NEW animes that are being awaited by fans in this year of 2023, so we made the list.

Vinland Saga (Second season)

The story goes: A new millennium begins in the southern region of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark. After the death of Askeladd, his longtime enemy, Thorfinn has lost his sense of purpose. He is bought as a slave by Ketil, a landowner, and begins to work the lands of his estate. There, Thorfinn meets Einar, a young man who was a slave like himself. Meeting Einar forces Thorfinn to face the sins he has committed and seek meaning in his life. This is the saga of a true warrior—a saga of redemption and salvation that follows the prologue.

The animation is by MAPPA and directed by Shuuhei Yabuta (Inuyashiki Last Hero).

Ayakashi Triangle

Japan may be teeming with mysterious monsters known as "ayakashi," but there's also a ninja force of exorcists to contain the threat! Young ninja exorcist Matsuri spends her days fighting ayakashi to protect her childhood friend, Suzu.

Animation by studio CONNECT (Strike the Blood franchise), directed by Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman).

NieR:Automata Ver1.1a

This is one of the games that promises to be highlighted this year as it is adapted from the PlayStation 4 game franchise.

It promises to be one of the most surreal animes of this year.

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol Ai Hoshin . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, saying she's pregnant with twins, and her manager tells her to abort the babies. But the idol doesn't want to abort; she wants to have both children. Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. Opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, 's newborn son ! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

The studio Doga Kobo ( Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie ) performs the animation.

Undead Unluck

How about a different story with 2 completely opposite characters in every way.

Undead Unluck follows the story of Fuko Izumo, also known as the cursed woman of "bad luck." Fuko brings bad luck to anyone who touches her. The curse is so strong that it causes permanent damage to anyone who comes into contact with her for too long. One day, she is saved by Andy, a man who cannot die, considered a true "zombie." He hopes to discover a way to use Fuko's bad luck to finally die. The pair team up to complete the missions given to them by the Book of Revelations. However, if they fail, the book could wipe out all of humanity.

The animation is by the studio David Production (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure).

Mashle: Magic and Muscles

Another anime that promises to deliver everything is Mashle.

This is the story of an extremely sadistic and temperamental girl who will awaken something inside you.

Trigun Stampede

This remake is being anticipated by longtime anime fans.

The story revolves around Vash the Stampede, a nomadic gunslinger who travels from town to town and has a checkered past. Every town he passes through is utterly devastated, causing immense damage, hence his nickname "Humanoid Typhoon."
