We arrived in 2023, and with it, the certainty of several new animes that will debut in Japan this year. As we know, only some of these series have a greater chance of being successful, either because they are famous works or adaptations of famous games. In this list we will point out exactly that.

Vinland Saga (Second season)
The story goes: A new millennium begins in the southern region of the Jutland peninsula, Denmark. After the death of Askeladd, his longtime enemy, Thorfinn lost his meaning in life. He is bought as a slave by Ketil, a landowner, and starts to work on the lands of his properties. There, Thorfinn meets Einar, a young man who was a slave like him. The encounter with Einar forces Thorfinn to face the sins he has committed and to seek meaning in his life. This is the saga of a true warrior – a saga of redemption and salvation that follows the prologue.”
The animation is by studio MAPPA and directed by Shuuhei Yabuta (Inuyashiki Last Hero).
Ayakashi Triangle
Japan may be filled with mysterious monsters known as “ayakashi,” but there is also a ninja force of exorcists to contain the threat! Young ninja exorcist Matsuri spends his days fighting ayakashi to protect his childhood friend, Suzu.

NieR:Automata Ver1.1a
This is one of those that promises to be highlighted this year as adapted from the PlayStation 4 game franchise.
In the future, humanity is defeated by the moon in the face of the powerful force of mechanical life forms that the aliens have dispatched. 2B, belonging to the newly organized android unit YoRHa, goes into battle to reconquer Earth.

Oshi no Ko
It promises to be one of the most surreal animes this year.
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old “ Idol ” named Ai Hoshin . One fine day Hoshino appears at her office, saying that she is pregnant with twins, and her manager tells her to abort the babies. But Idol doesn't want to have an abortion, she wants to have both children. Gorou promises her a safe birth. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure would result in his premature death or so he thought. Opening his eyes in the lap of his beloved idol, Gorou discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, the newborn son of Ai! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversy, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Studio Doga Kobo ( Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie ) directs the animation.
Undead Unluck
And how about a different story with 2 characters who are completely opposite in every way.
Undead Unluck follows the story of Fuko Izumo, also known as the cursed woman of “bad luck”. Fuko brings bad luck to anyone who touches her. The curse is strong enough to cause permanent damage if you come into contact with it for a long time. One day, she is saved by Andy, a man who cannot die, being considered a true “zombie”. He hopes to find a way to use Fuko's bad luck to finally get himself killed. The duo comes together to complete the missions given to them by the Book of Revelations. However, if they fail, the book could exterminate all humanity.
The animation is from the studio David Production (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure).
Mashle: Magic and Muscles
Another anime that promises to deliver everything is Mashle.
Deep in the forest there is a young man who spends his time training and gaining weight. He cannot use magic, but enjoys a peaceful life with his father. But one day, his life is put in danger! Will his muscular body protect him from the magic users who are out to get him?
Record of Ragnarok
Many fans are waiting for the second season of Record of Ragnarok, which will be divided into two parts.
Deities from different mythologies discuss the fate of humanity – and vote to annihilate it. Before that, however, a Valkyrie suggests giving humans one last chance, provided for in Valhalla's Constitution. Thus, a tournament with 13 battles will decide the fate of all humans.
Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (Season two)
The eccentric newcomer Nogatoro, who loves to tease and torment her shy senpai, returns for this second season.
A girl younger than me made me cry!” One day, while visiting the school library, Senpai becomes the target of a super-sadistic new girl! The name of the girl who teases, torments and bullies Senpai is Nagatoro! She's a brat, but adorable. Being next to her is agonizing but irresistible. This is the story of an extremely sadistic and temperamental girl who will awaken something inside you.
Trigun Stampede
This remake is being awaited by old anime fans.
The story revolves around Vash The Stampede, a nomadic gunslinger who travels from town to town and has a checkered past. Every city this man passes through is completely devastated, causing immense damage, which is the reason for his nickname Humanoid Typhoon.
Tokyo Revengers 2 (Second season)
With an altered timeline, Tokyo Revengers is an anime full of time travel and youth gangs. In the Japanese animation, a 26-year-old virgin young adult named Takemichi has a near-death experience when he is pushed towards a train track. Takemichi survives, but returns 12 years in the past and makes it his mission to save Tachibana Hinata – his ex-girlfriend from high school, murdered by the Yakuza gang when he was actually alive.
The anime, produced by LIDEN FILMS , and is based on the manga series by Ken Wakui .
