The popular OVA animation ' Angel's Egg ' ( Tenshi no Tamago ), which achieved great popularity in the 80s, will receive a 4K remaster to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The release is scheduled for 2025.

Angel's Egg Synopsis:
In a landscape ravaged by the apocalypse, arid and enigmatic, a young woman spends her days amidst shadows, carefully collecting water in vials and jealously guarding an egg of mysterious proportions. Her solitary daily routine is interrupted by the arrival of a man carrying a peculiar cross-shaped weapon. Upon encountering the egg, her curiosity is instantly piqued. Thus, an unlikely bond forms between them, and together they embark on an uncertain journey through desolate lands, where secrets and dangers await at every turn.
Finally, the remastering of Angel's Egg (Tenshi no Tamago) is supervised by director Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell).
