The official website for the second season of 5-toubun no Hanayome ∬ ( The Quintuplets ) has revealed a new video and additional staff for the anime.

Synopsis
Uesugi Fuutarou, a second-year high school student from a poor family, receives an irresistible offer to work as a tutor... only to discover his students are his classmates! And to make matters worse, they're quintuplets... All gorgeous, but with terrible grades and a deadly hatred for studying! Will his first mission be to win the girls' trust?! Every day is a party day in this 500% adorable romantic comedy about the twin sisters of the Nakano house!

Kaori ( Barakamon , Shirobako! ) is the director of the new season, replacing Satoshi Kuwabara. Keiichiro Ochi returns from the first season to supervise the script. Bibury Animation Studio ( Azur Lane ) will animate the second season, replacing Tezuka Productions . Masato Katsumata (assistant animation director on Azur Lane) is the chief animation director and character designer, while Hanae Nakamura and Miki Sakurai will once again compose the soundtrack.

Furthermore, the new season was scheduled to premiere in October, but was postponed to January 2021 due to the new coronavirus ( covid-19 ).
Finally, the first season of the anime premiered in January 2019 with 12 episodes. The manga is by author Negi Haruba and was published by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine from August 2017 to February 2020.
