Synopsis by Netflix:
"In the immediate future, a giant meteor collided with Earth. All living organisms, including humanity, were wiped off the planet. The government, which had foreseen this event, took measures to prevent the worst-case scenario. In particular, there was the "7SEEDS" project, where 5 groups of 7 young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn, and Winter). Each participant was placed in cryogenic sleep in the hope of preserving the existence of humanity.".
When these men and women awaken, they suddenly find themselves thrust into a cruel world. Though deprived and grieving the loss of their loved ones forever, they search for ways to survive
The manga by Tamura Yumi was published in the magazine Flowers Monthly between 2003 and 2017, totaling 35 volumes. The anime is being handled by studio GONZO , with Yukio Takahashi as director, Touko Machida in charge of the story, and Youko Satou as character designer. The opening theme song, "Ark," is performed by Amatsuki , while the ending theme, "WISH," is sung by majiko .
