Synopsis by Netflix:
In the immediate future, a giant meteor collided with Earth. All living organisms, including humanity, were wiped from the planet. The government, which had foreseen this event, took measures to prevent the worst-case scenario. Specifically, the "7SEEDS" project, in which five groups of seven young men and women were carefully selected and placed into teams (Spring, Summer A, Summer B, Autumn, and Winter). Each participant was placed in cryogenic sleep in the hope of preserving humanity's existence.
When these men and women awaken, they find themselves suddenly thrust into a cruel world. Though bereft and grief-stricken at having lost their loved ones forever, they search for ways to survive.
Tamura Yumi 's manga was published by Flowers Monthly magazine between 2003 and 2017, with a total of 35 volumes. The anime is in the hands of the studio GONZO , with Yukio Takahashi as director, Touko Machida as story designer, and Youko Satou as character designer. The opening theme song, "Ark", is performed by Amatsuki , while the ending theme song, "WISH", is sung by Majiko .
