The official website for the Detective Conan anime announced that " Moonlight Sonata Murder Case ," the 11th episode of the series, will receive a remake in the form of a two-part special, premiering on March 6th and 13th respectively.
The website previously hinted that a remake of a " legendary episode " was in the works.
An image for the remake has been released, which is actually a collage made up of scenes from the original episode.
Pianist Aimi Kobayashi will perform Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, which will therefore be dedicated to the remake. In addition, the website is running a social media campaign encouraging viewers to submit their own attempts at playing the sonata.
The original episode in question aired on April 8, 1996.
