A teaser trailer for the film The Wind Rises aired, and director Hayao Miyazaki revealed it was the first time he had been moved by one of his films. Studio Ghibli scheduled a press conference to announce the film's completion. The trailer features music by mandolin player Tadashi Aoyama with his son Ryo Aoyama.

Hayao Miyazaki, who has already received the Oscar for best animated film, is one of the most famous and respected creators of Japanese animation cinema. His films use recurring themes such as humanity's relationship with nature and technology, and the difficulty of maintaining a pacifist ethic. The premiere will take place on July 20th.
