Editora Abril 's fan page Kingdom Hearts manga series , which adapts the franchise's first game, new series will be released. The publisher acquired the publishing rights in Brazil for all manga titles. The new volumes will be released throughout 2014. The first miniseries, which adapts the Kingdom Hearts game for PlayStation 2, began publication in May of this year by Abril in four issues.
Sales exceeded expectations so much that volume 1 had to be reprinted after selling out. The manga blends characters from the Disney universe with those from Final Fantasy. The game was so successful that it spawned several sequels. This year, a remastered HD version called Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix Square-Enix has already confirmed the production of the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III for next year .
