Editora Abril 's fan page Kingdom Hearts manga series , which adapts the first game in the franchise, new series will be released. The publisher acquired the rights to publish all manga titles in Brazil. The new volumes will be released throughout 2014. The first miniseries, which adapts the Kingdom Hearts game for PlayStation 2, began publication in May of this year by Abril in four editions.
Sales exceeded expectations so much that volume 1 had to be reprinted because it sold out. The manga mixes characters from the Disney universe with those from Final Fantasy. The game was so successful that it spawned several sequels. This year, a remastered HD version called Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix , which includes 3 games from the series. For next year, Square-Enix has already confirmed the production of the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III .
