The actors for HBO's The Last of Us series have been cast.

The actors who will play Joel and Ellie in HBO 's The Last of Us . According to the announcement from The Hollywood Reporter, actress Bella Ramsey , known for Game of Thrones , will play Ellie and actor Pedro Pascal from Wonder Woman 1984 , will play Joel. Both will live the entire saga of the game in the midst of a global apocalypse.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, The Last of Us follows the journey of Joel, a survivor who may have found a cure for the infection in Ellie, a girl immune to the virus. The game arrived on the PlayStation 3 in 2013 and was later re-released on the PS4. Its sequel, The Last of Us – Part II , was released in 2020.

Finally, the series will have a script written by Craig Mazin ( Chernobyl ) and Neil Druckman , creator of The Last of Us , will participate as executive producer.
