After-School Hanako-kun – Anime adaptation of spin-off manga announced

Square Enix and TBS have announced that Iro Aida's spin-off manga "After-School Hanako-kun" (Hōkago Shōnen Hanako-kun) is inspiring a television anime premiering on October 12.

Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the anime on the same day it is released.

The anime will feature a returning cast from the anime “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun”.

Synopsis

Ghost Hanako-kun and his mortal assistant Nene Yashiro usually have their hands full solving various supernatural incidents at Kamome Academy, but how do they pass the time when they get a break from it all? Come see what the characters of "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun" get up to in their quiet days after school!

Masaki Kitamura (Gundam 00's assistant director) is directing the anime at Lerche and Studio Hibari, and Kazuma Nagatomo is in charge of the series scripts. Aya Higami is both the character designer and chief animation director. Mizuho Shimada is the director of photography. Hiroshi Takaki is returning from the anime "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun" as the music composer.

Aida launched the manga on “pixiv Comic” in February 2018 and ended it with chapter 25 in October 2021.
