Netflix debuted a new trailer for the fifth and final season of the Aggretsuko this Wednesday. The trailer reveals the world premiere of the season for February 16th on Netflix.
The new season will focus on Retsuko running for office. Rareko is returning to direct the fifth season at Fanworks, and the cast from the anime is also returning.
The fourth season announced at the time a fifth season when it premiered in December 2021.
Synopsis
Retsuko is a 25-year-old red panda who copes with the stress and frustrations of her discouraging job through her favorite pastimes. She works at a commercial firm as an accountant, but feels frustrated because she doesn't really enjoy the job and is isolated around her bosses and co-workers. Her weekly moment of peace is singing heavy metal in karaoke after work, where Retsuko can feel like herself. But little by little, the panda tries to deal with her social anxiety and overcome the barriers of adulthood.
