Netflix debuted a new trailer for the fifth and final season of the anime series Aggretsuko on Wednesday. The trailer reveals the season's global premiere on February 16th on Netflix .
The new season will focus on Retsuko running for office. Rareko is returning to direct the fifth season at Fanworks, and the anime's cast is also returning.
The fourth season announced at the time a fifth season when it premiered in December 2021.
Synopsis
Retsuko is a 25-year-old red panda who copes with the stress and frustrations of her unstimulating job through her favorite hobbies. She works at a commercial firm as an accountant, but feels frustrated because she doesn't enjoy it much and feels isolated around her bosses and coworkers. Her weekly moment of peace is singing heavy metal karaoke after work, where Retsuko can feel like herself. But little by little, the panda tries to deal with her social anxiety and overcome the barriers of adulthood.
