The February issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine announced that an anime adaptation of Takahiro and Tetsuya Tashiro's Akame ga KILL! will be released. TOHO Ad Co. Registered the domain “akame.tv” on January 8th.
The dark fantasy action manga follows the main character, Akame , a girl who was purchased, brainwashed, and raised by the Empire as an assassin. After meeting Akame, a boy named Tatsumi vows to face the evil of the Empire.
Japanese game developer MinatoSoft has been teasing four projects tied to Takahiro, including the Shoujo – tachi wa Arano o Mezasu game and an Akame ga KILL! The project that will be announced on Wednesday. The manga's ninth compiled volume will also be released on January 22. Takahiro released Akame ga KILL! Zero (which shows events that took place before the first episode) with artist Kei Toru in the October issue of Square Enix's Big Gangnam magazine.
