We have revealed from Toho Studios the IMAX poster for the film's 4K remaster of Akira .
Originally released in 1988, the film will premiere in 36 Japanese cinemas on April 3, 2020. The film was scheduled to premiere at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) 2020 this Saturday, but due to the outbreak of Covid-19 (new coronavirus ) has been postponed.
theatrical release is scheduled in Japan on April 24th and will also be released later in the United States.
