Akira - 4K remastered film gets poster

We have revealed by Toho Studios the IMAX poster for the 4K remaster of the film Akira .

Originally released in 1988, the film will premiere in 36 Japanese theaters on April 3, 2020. The film was scheduled to premiere at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) 2020 this Saturday, but due to the Covid-19 (new coronavirus) outbreak, it was postponed.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release in Japan on April 24th and will later be released in the United States.
