One of the latest projects by author Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), the film Sand Land ('SAND LAND: THE SERIES'), which has been adapted into an anime , has had a new trailer and promotional image revealed.

In the video, we can hear the opening theme "Water Carrier" by Kroi and the closing theme "Drive My Idea" by Tempalay. The series premieres exclusively on March 20th on the Disney+ streaming service and Star+, with 13 episodes.

For those keeping up, episodes 1 through 6 chronicle the events of the film "The Story of the Fiend Prince." However, episodes 7 through 13, titled "The Story of the Angel Hero," are entirely new stories created by master writer Akira Toriyama.

Synopsis

In the distant future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren desert where the water supply is controlled by the greedy king. Together, the unlikely trio sets out across the desert, facing dragons, bandits, and the deadliest enemy of all… the king's own army! Finally, the manga “Sand Land” is a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine from May to August 2000. In addition, Shueisha published a compiled volume of the manga in November 2000.
