The teaser site for the SAND LAND announced this Wednesday that Akira Toriyama will receive an animated film, which will debut in theaters in Japan on August 18 . Sunrise , Kamikaze Douga and Anima are producing the animation.
In addition, images of the characters were also made public.

The work was previously announced in December as a “screen adaptation”.
The Sand Land manga is a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a volume of the manga in November 2000.
Synopsis
Humans and demons coexist in a hostile place. When the river that supplied the entire world dries up, the King begins to control all remaining water distribution. Thus, the old sheriff Lao decides to go in search of the legendary Fountain of Dreams , accompanied by the demon Beelzebub and his friend Thief.
