My Godssss heads are exploding with this.... After a few years of shelving the project of the live-action film " Akira ", now Warner Bros. would be considering making a trilogy, with Christopher Nolan (Inception, Interstellar, Batman Trilogy) involved in the production..., look how cool .
According to a post on Den of Geek, Director Nolan reportedly met with a director previously linked to the project to discuss possibilities for Akira. This meeting reportedly took place within the last three months, but the director's name has not been revealed. Over the years, Akira has had directors such as Albert Hughes, Jaume Collet-Serra, and Ruairi Robinson.
The director's seat is currently vacant, and it's unlikely Nolan will fill it. Marco J. Ramirez, screenwriter of Sons of Anarchy and the Daredevil TV series (of which he will be a lead producer on the upcoming second season), is currently writing the film.
