The second season of Aldnoah.Zero has received its first TV commercial, featuring the ending theme song "Genesis" by the band Eir Aoi. This second season is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television in January 2015.
The story of the first season of Aldnoah.Zero takes place in 1972, a Hyperportal was discovered on the surface of the moon, and humanity began using it to colonize Mars. Years later, war breaks out between Earth and the Martian colonists.
Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero, Psycho-Pass) is writing the series, with Fate/Zero director Ei Aoki directing at studios A-1 Pictures and TROYCA. Katsuhiko Takayama was in charge of the scripts.
