Shogakukan has released a quick promotional video for the OVA Alice in Borderland edition copies of the 12th compiled volume of Haro Aso's survival thriller manga.
Three episodes of the original video anime are scheduled to be produced, and the anime will be bundled with the limited edition packages of the manga's 12th, 13th, and 14th compiled volumes. The 12th volume of the manga along with the first episode of the video anime will be released in Japan on October 17. The cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Ryohei Arisu, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Daikichi Karube, Tsubasa Yonaga as Chota Segawa, and Maaya Sakamoto as Saori Shibuki. Hideki Tachibana (Dragon Crisis!, H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~) will direct the anime in SILVER Link and Connect from scripts by Ryosuke Nakamura (Aiura, Mirage of Flame).
Aso began serializing the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday S (formerly Shonen Sunday CHO) in 2010, and he is also writing a series of special features that are being published in Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine once a month.
