The great strength of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods lies in its humor. Even though it's a somewhat childish story, it has plenty of funny moments without neglecting the combat scenes that have been a hallmark of the series over the years.

Here's a point that many people disliked: the demoralization of characters like Goku and Vegeta . For those not used to seeing the Super Saiyan fall with a flick and the Saiyan prince doing the bingo dance, the reaction of some fans is quite understandable. They will find it quite funny.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is an entertaining film that will appeal to fans who have never seen a single episode of the series, thanks to its humorous story. Furthermore, the animation stands out for being slightly more elaborate compared to the series and the Dragon Ball Kai remake, with the use of computer-generated elements for improved overall animation.
