The classic History of Friendship and Overcoming Anhana: The Flower We Saw That Day will gain a new life in live action . TBS revealed the first trailer for anime -based adaptation Hi Mita Hana in Namae Bokutachi Wa Mada Shiranai , originally aired in 2011 and widely recognized as one of the most exciting works of the last decade.
Reunion marked by pain and memories
Anhana 's plot accompanies a group of six childhood friends who distanced themselves after the tragic death of Meiko “Menma” Honma . However, a decade after the accident, the group leader, Jinta Yadomi , lives isolated from the world, plunged into their own pains. Surprisingly, on a summer day, Menma reappears before him, now looking older, asking his help to fulfill one last wish.
Certainly, this narrative that mixes drama, mourning and redemption won the hearts of many fans. As with the original anime, the focus remains in the reconstruction of broken ties and the lasting impact of an unresolved loss.
Team behind live-action live action
Masaki Nishiura, known for his work in Densha Otoko , takes over the special. The script, in turn, is in charge of Yoshihiro Izumi, an experienced screenwriter who worked on adaptations such as Ranma ½ and Death Note in Live-Action. Therefore, we can expect a sensitive and respectful approach to the original material.
Although many fans show caution about live-action adaptations, the released trailer shows a careful production with a young cast and nostalgic ambiance, faithfully referring to the emotional climate of the anime.
The special debut on September 21, 2015 , exclusively in Japan. However, international fans are already looking forward to their availability on streaming platforms.
After all, who doesn't want to revisit this story with a new live-action perspective?
