Alter Ego Productions , a production company based in the United Arab Emirates, has released the trailer for Torkaizer, a mecha series produced entirely in the Middle East. The production was shown during the Middle East Film & Comic Con, in Dubai, and its directors consider it to be the first anime-style production in the Arab world. Several references to anime starring giant robots can be seen in Torkaizer. Will Japanese animation fans approve?

Alter Ego Productions was founded by a group of friends who are passionate about animation and games. The idea is to make Torkaizer a complete series. Just like in Brazil, which has already started to take its first steps in the field of animation, the Arab world has been doing the same. Several animation series supported by Middle Eastern companies are produced annually, and exhibitions are usually restricted to Arabic-speaking countries. Most of them have a strong educational appeal, and some address cultural and religious values. The launch of Torkaizer could change that.
