Sad news for fans. It was announced on Friday, January 17th, by the press office of the Animazement (North California).
Animator Koichi Tsunoda had been fighting a long battle with cancer and, unfortunately, passed away last Tuesday, January 14th.

The Animazement event will donate $1 from every ticket sold to cancer victims in memory of Tsunoda.

Tsunoda has worked on several anime such as Galaxy Express 99 , Mazinger Z , Final Yamato , Transformer : The Movie , among others.

Strength to the family and all the fans! Our condolences.
Rest in peace, Tsunoda !
