FUNimation has confirmed that the anime Drifters (Kouta Hirano) will have approximately 12 episodes. The anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 7th on the Tokyo MX channel .

Therefore, Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJo: Stardust Crusaders) is directing the anime. Hideyuki Kurata (Tokyo Ravens) is in charge of series composition and writing.

Finally, the anime celebrates the 70th anniversary of Shonengahosha, the publisher of the original manga.
