The anime Medalist has just received a major update. The production of an animated film has been officially confirmed, with a planned release in 2027 in Japanese theaters . The announcement was made during the advance screening event for the second season , held in Tokyo and broadcast live to various cinemas across the country.

According to the team, the feature film will adapt the events after the end of the second season , expanding Inori's journey and deepening the development of the characters in the competitive world of figure skating. Therefore, the project should function as a direct continuation of the series.
In addition, the event revealed the first visual for season 2 , highlighting Inori, Tsukasa, and their rivals Hikaru and Yodaka in front of a frozen lake.
