So, let's get to know the works that could compete for the biggest prize of all. In fact, think about donating to our website, so we can continue with our work. Now, without further ado, let’s get to the list:

Anime Films That Could Be Nominated for an Oscar 2021

Ryuu for Sobakasu no Hime: Also called Belle. The plot revolves around Suzu, a 17-year-old high school student who lives in the interior of Kochi prefecture with her father, after losing her mother at a young age. …Thus, she and her father became more and more distant, and Suzu closed her heart to the world…

None Nikuko-Gyokou Chan: Here we follow the story that revolves around a mother and daughter who live on a boat and they follow them as they grow up and begin their paths in life.

Uchuu no Hou: Erohim-hen: Or also known as The Laws of the Universe: Part 2. It is also important to say that the franchise is made up of 4 films produced. So, the plot is around 5 young people who get involved in a strange incident and end up meeting an alien!

Machi None Poupelle Entotsu: This time we see the story of a young man named Lubicchi and Poubelle who meet on Halloween night in a city full of tall chimneys. This way, the chimneys pour black smoke and the real sky cannot be seen.

Eiga Daisuki Pompo-san

The plot of this one is quite interesting as it tells about the world of film production and follows Joelle Davidovich “Pompo” Pomponette. Therefore, despite her ability to see the team's potential, she has only made B-grade films or erotic films.

Josee, the Tiger and the Fish

And finally, let's talk about my favorite. And with that, the plot is certainly one of the most unexpected romances you've ever seen in an anime. Well, it's about a young university student who ends up meeting a wheelchair user! It's simply beautiful and it's worth seeing this work. In fact, not just this one, but all the ones listed here.

Anyway guys, how many of these films have you seen? I honestly didn't get to see even half of them. However, some of them caught my attention and I'll probably put them on my list. Leave a comment and see you next time!
