Synopsis:
Following the Heath Oslo incident, the existence of the Japanese-American counterterrorism organization CIRS became public knowledge. The organization was rebuilt from scratch, and its most secret missions were transferred to a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development). SORD's objective is to train a new generation of agents to defend the country against future threats. To this end, the organization established a series of schools scattered throughout the country. Mihama Academy, now in decline after its abrupt closure, has received a new purpose as one of these "specialist training schools.".
The production of the films aims to adapt all volumes of the visual novels into anime. Finally, the first two films of Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation premiered in March 2019, while the third, titled Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation – Stargazer , premiered in November 2020.
