Based on a visual novel, ISLAND has received a new promotional trailer featuring the opening theme song “Eien no Hitotsu” (Eternal One) by Yukari Tamura. The animation is by studio Feel (Dagashi Kashi), directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Frame Arms Girl), and features character designs by Kōsuke Kawamura (Frame Arms Girl, OniAi).

Island had a game released for PC in 2016 and later for PS Vita and Android; in the same year it received a manga adaptation.
The story takes place on Urashima Island, where three powerful families have suffered a series of setbacks. The islanders severed all contact with the mainland and began a slow decline. The key to saving the island lies with three girls belonging to the three families. But they are bound by ancient traditions and are in conflict. On this island, a lone man washes ashore. The man claims to be from the future and begins a solitary struggle to change the island's fate.
