Lantis has released a new commercial for the second season of the anime Love Live!, announcing that Love Live! is returning once again. The second season begins in April, airing on TV Tokyo MX on Sunday, April 6th at 10:30 AM.
In 2010, the anime series "Dengeki G Magazine," produced by Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works, launched Love Live! as a self-described "final participation project" that allowed fans to vote on the future of the fictional idols. A series of CDs containing music videos followed.
The first season of the anime premiered in Japan on January 6, 2013. The media service Crunchyroll streamed the anime. NIS America licensed the series for release in North America.
