Lantis has released a new commercial for the second season of the anime  Love Live! is returning once again. The second season begins in April on TV Tokyo MX on Sunday, April 6 at 10:30 AM.

In 2010, Sunrise, Lantis, and ASCII Media Works' anime studio, Dengeki G Magazine, launched Love Live! as a self-described "ultimate participation project" that allows fans to vote on the future of fictional idols. A series of music videos followed.

The first season of the anime premiered in Japan on January 6, 2013. The Crunchyroll media service streamed the anime. NIS America licensed the series for release in North America.
