Alter Ego Productions a United Arab Emirates-based production company, has released the trailer for Torkaizer, a mecha series produced entirely in the Middle East. The series was shown during the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Dubai, and its creators consider it the first anime-style production in the Arab world. Several references to anime starring giant robots can be seen in Torkaizer. Will fans of Japanese animation approve?

Watch the trailer:

Alter Ego Productions was founded by a group of friends passionate about animation and games. The idea is to make Torkaizer a full-length series. Just as in Brazil, which has already begun to take its first steps in the animation field, the Arab world is doing the same. Several animated series financed by Middle Eastern companies are produced annually, and their broadcast is usually restricted to Arabic-speaking countries. Many of them have a strong educational appeal, and some address cultural and religious values. The release of Torkaizer could change that.
