Crunchyroll will broadcast the anime Awards 2025 live next Sunday, May 25th. The ceremony celebrates the best of Japanese animation and has recognized great titles throughout the previous editions. Among the most awarded, Jujutsu Kaisen appears at the top, with a total of 24 wins.

Following the ranking, Demon Slayer adds 20 awards and Attack on Titan brings together 16. The three anime dominated the last seasons, accumulating trophies in categories such as best direction, animation and voice acting performances in various languages.
Jujutsu Kaisen is the biggest winner in history
Jujutsu Kaisen exceeded the mark of two dozen awards, consolidated as the main highlight of the award. In 2024 alone, there were 11 trophies, including anime of the year, best direction, character design and best opening. Mappa studio produced the second season, which gained recognition for technical and narrative excellence.
The character Satoru Gojo yielded victories in the categories of best secondary character and voice performances in Japanese, French and Portuguese. The award recognized the closing “Akari”, which reinforced the audiovisual impact of production. In 2023, the jury elected the feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 as best film, highlighting the performances in German, European and Italian Spanish.
In previous years, the anime had already been elected anime of the year in 2021 and won categories as best fight scene, best antagonist and best voice performance in several languages. The multiple victories demonstrate the continuous strength of the work between critic and public.
Demon Slayer remains as a public favorite
With 20 accumulated awards, Demon Slayer follows as one of today's most acclaimed anime. In 2024, the Vila dos Ferreiros arc won in better animation, art direction and fantasy anime. The Ufotable Studio ensured prominence for the striking visual scenes and the construction of detailed worlds.
The previous season, aired in 2023, yielded four other wins, including best direction, best action anime and best performance in Latin Spanish. The refined look of the Entertainment District also earned awards to designer Akira Matsushima.
In 2022, the anime won in important categories as best movie, soundtrack and closing. The long Mugen Train was also recognized for voice acting in French, Russian and Spanish. Already in 2020, he took the anime trophy of the year, highlighting the fight of Tanjiro and Nezuko against Rui.
Attack on Titan closes the award podium
Third place in the ranking, Attack on Titan adds 16 awards at Crunchyroll Anime Awards. In 2024, he won in the best soundtrack category with The Final Chapters Special 1 , produced by Mappa studio. Music remains one of the strengths of the series.
The previous year, there were six trophies. Among them, the best main character for Eren Jaeger, better performance in Japanese and best drama anime. The song “The Rumbling” also received recognition, as was the trail signed by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano.
The final season had already won as an anime of the year in 2022, when Eren was elected better antagonist. Vocal openings and performances were also awarded in previous years, including Lucas Almeida's performance in the 2021 Brazilian voice acting.
Attack on Titan began his victory career in 2019 and has maintained a constant presence in the awards ever since. The evolution of the plot and the complexity of the characters maintain the work between the favorites of critics and the public.
