Zombie Sagashitemasu receives anime adaptation

The comedy Zombie Sagashitemasu , written by Katsuwo , author of hits such as Mitsuboshi Colors and Hitoribocchi no ○○ Seikatsu , will have its anime adaptation in 2026. However, the confirmation came accompanied by a new illustration and a special comment from the author.

The story takes place 13 years after "Red Day," when 90% of humanity succumbed to a mysterious infection. In this setting, we meet Aki , a young girl raised in an isolated zombie village. Alongside her friends Haru and Natsuki , she decides to leave the safety of the village to search for her father in the devastated world.

Katsuwo celebrated the news, saying that the work shows "days full of exploration, traps, and even bombs – even amidst zombies, life can be fun." He also commented that he is eager to find out who will voice the protagonist Aki in the animated version.

Zombie Sagashitemasu is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Katsuwo . It was serialized in ASCII Media Works ' Comic Dengeki Daioh "g" from June 2022 to November 2023, with its chapters collected into three tankōbon .

Finally, fans can expect more details about the cast and studio to be revealed in the coming months. This only increases the anticipation for the 2026 premiere.
