Synopsis
Anne Shirley is a charming young woman who grew up in an orphanage. By mistake, she is sent to live with Miss Marilla Cuthbert and Mr. Matt Cuthbert, who had initially applied to adopt a boy. Surprised by Anne's arrival, Marilla gradually discovers the girl's sad past. Over time, Anne earns her space and becomes an indispensable part of the Cuthbert family.
Anne of Green Gables is a Japanese animation series that ranks fifth in Nippon Animation's renowned World Masterpiece Theater , widely recognized by different names over the years. Thus, production adapts the classic novel Anne of Green Gables , written by Lucy Maud Montgomery in 1908. In 1979, Nippon Animation produced the series and originally broadcast it by Fuji TV from January 7 to December 30 of the same year .
Ultimately, the creators released 50 episodes, consolidating the title as a landmark work by the studio.
