She also finally met Diana Barry, her long-awaited best friend. Anyone familiar with the original series knows that Miss Barry will be a constant companion in the protagonist's life.

Movement could be further explored in scenes featuring nature, especially the trees, which Anne so admires. Such a detail would help highlight the beauty the protagonist sees in nature. However, this is only a small point that doesn't detract from the wonderful experience of following a little girl's journey and joy upon being adopted.

Furthermore, the character had lost hope of finding a family, having been adopted and returned to the orphanage more than once. Now, with Marilla and Matthew, she can finally have a happy childhood.
