CoroCoro magazine announced new details about the production of the XY film, titled Hakai no Mayu (Cocoon of Destruction), the 17th film in the franchise and the first in the saga that will feature Xerneas and Yveltal .
The feature film will feature the presence of a new legendary Pokémon (nº 719) called Diancie , a fairy and stone type. As the protagonist will be, the film's title was changed to Pokémon YX: Hakai no Mayu to Dianshī ( Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction) . The new monster can use the “clear body” ability, in addition to learning attacks such as “hyper beam” and explosion.
The plot will show an “epic battle” between Xerneas and Yveltal. Several legendary and well-known Pokémon will make appearances in the film.
Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, Pokémon YX: Hakai no Mayu opens on July 19th in theaters in Japan.
