Return of Pokémon Journeys announced

The Pokémon: Journeys anime is scheduled to return with new episodes on June 7th . This information came via the franchise's official Twitter account .

Previously, production of new episodes was halted due to the state of emergency declared in Japan because of the COVID-19 .

Synopsis: trainer Ash Ketchum has a new plan: to explore the world. But first, he and his partner Pikachu are heading to the opening of the Cerise Laboratory, a research center dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokémon in all regions. Ash meets Goh, another boy with boundless curiosity, and they are both overjoyed when Professor Cerise asks them to become official research fellows. With Ash as determined as ever to become a Pokémon Master, and Goh aiming to catch them all (including the Mythical Mew), our heroes embark on a journey of adventure and excitement, exploring the entire world.

The new series features two protagonists, as in addition to the already well-known Ash, we have the new character Goh . Goh's partner Pokémon is Hibunny, the starter Pokémon from the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield , and Daiki Yamashita voices Goh. Goh is 10 years old and his dream is to catch all the Pokémon. Tatsuhisa Suzuki voices Kibana , a gym leader specializing in Dragon-type Pokémon in the Galar region.

Pokémon: Journeys premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on November 17, shortly after the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games were released worldwide.

Furthermore, the new series features all the regions covered by the franchise so far, from the Kanto region to the Galar region. Machito Gomi is drawing a manga adaptation of the new anime.
