The official website for the 10th anniversary of the anime Anohana has announced that the event to be held in celebration of the 10th anniversary will feature a stage reading that reveals what happened to the main characters 10 years after the end of the anime.
The anime's original screenwriter, Mari Okada, is currently writing the script for the stage reading. The event will take place on August 28th, and the characters' voice actors will also appear in person on the anime's real-life setting, located in Chichibu, Saitama City.
The event is then titled “ ANOHANA 10 YEARS AFTER Fes. ”, a deliberate return to the “ ANOHANA Fes .” that was held in Chichibu in September 2011.
The 10th anniversary project was first announced in March. Character designer and chief animation director Masayoshi Tanaka drew an image (below) of the main characters 10 years later to celebrate the project.
The Anohana anime premiered in April 2011 and follows childhood friends who try to reconnect at high school after being separated due to a tragedy five years earlier. The series inspired a manga , a 2013 film sequel, and a 2015 live-action
