The magazine Young King Ours from Shonengahoshais announcing that the anime Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio (Arpeggio of Blue Steel) will be getting two films, the first being a compilation of episodes from the first season, while the second film will continue the story.
Neither project has a release date, only that it will be in 2015, but it seems it will be a film, reuniting the team that worked on series 's last year. Seiji Kishi will be directing with studio SANZIGEN Animation, and Makoto Uezu will be in charge of the scripts. Masato Koda is once again composing the music.
In the story, humanity lost much of its developed territory due to global warming in the first half of the 21st century. Then, the "Fleet of Fog," loaded with super weapons, appears around the world. Unable to withstand this fleet, humanity was defeated and could no longer travel the seas. 17 years after the devastating naval war, Gunzo Chihaya and his friends somehow take command of the "Fleet of Fog.".
