The IGN released the first trailer for the CG film Appleseed Alpha, inspired by the science fiction works of author Masamune Shirow (Ghost in the Shell), this new animation will be released directly on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 15th.
Shinji Aramaki is returning to direct this new project, he was responsible for great films such as: “Starship Troopers: Invasion”, “Captain Harlock”, “Appleseed” and “Appleseed: Ex Machina.
The film still has no set release date. Titled “Alpha”, the new film will be a reboot showing the two characters Deunan and Briareos in search of a legendary lost city of Olympus.
