The website IGN Appleseed Alpha 's CG film inspired by the science fiction works of author Masamune Shirow(Ghost in the Shell), this new animation will be released directly on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 15th .
Shinji Aramaki is returning to direct this new project, he was responsible for major films such as: “Starship Troopers: Invasion”, “Captain Harlock”, “Appleseed” and “Appleseed: Ex Machina.
The film continues to have no set release date. Titled “Alpha”, the new film will be a reboot showing the two characters Deunan and Briareos in search of a legendary lost city of Olympus.
