The Japanese voice actor for Aqua Hoshino in Oshi no Ko , Takeo Otsuka , gave an interview to Anime Trending , commenting on various things related to the anime. He also reveals what the typical anime dubbing process is like for him and the other voice actors.

In his interview, Takeo Otsuka said he had been following the Oshi no Ko manga before voicing Aqua. He then based his interpretation of the character in the anime on what he saw in the original story. The voice actor then explains that, like him, all the voice actors and staff in general give their all during the recordings because they are all fans of the series.
"While the series focuses on Aqua's revenge, it also has lighthearted banter and many fun and funny scenes. I think everyone had a great time acting out these scenes, and ultimately, this show has a lot of dialogue."
And it's not just Aqua, but others, including Kana especially, have a lot of lines. Megumi Han-san was really worried about that. But from my perspective, it's like, "Oh, it's just amazing." Watching Han-san makes me feel like she's the only one who can pull off Kana Arima.
In addition, he says that the manga creators, Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari , also appear in the recordings sometimes to follow the production.
"And everyone, not just the cast but the entire staff, really loves this title. So I feel like everyone is pulling in the same direction while working on this series. The original manga authors also show up when they can, so the recording sessions are very comforting."
Thus , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Salto Jovem in 2020. Volume 12 of the manga was published on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
